Uncle Sim Wants YOU! Introducing a more realistic take on the Military Career, I offer you the Army Enlisted Career. As a US Army veteran myself, I'm just not all that thrilled with the way EA handled the Military career. Using the American Army enlisted ranks, your sim can join up as a raw recruit and work his or her way up to the rank of Command Sergeant Major - the highest US Army enlisted rank except for the Sergeant Major of the Army.

Having benefited from the wonderful mods from all of you fabulous creators out there, I decided it was time to give something back. This is my first attempt at modding anything, so I hope you'll all enjoy it!

As with any custom career, you'll need to have Twallan's Base Careers Mod installed in order for it to work.

Cigarette/Smoking Mod

What it does...
This mod gives sims the ability smoke cigarettes to your game.

How it works...
To use, in Buy mode go to Misc Decorations and purchase a pack of cigarettes for 6 simoleons, and place it on a surface.

  Effects...
Smoking a cigarette removes Stressed, BuzzCrashed, FeelingAnxious, and Strained buffs. It adds SmokedCigarette and FeelingCalm buffs and increases Fun motive.

Consequences...
Smoking has a chance of developing a smoking habit(sim will get SmokingHabit buff). If SmokedCigarette buff is allowed to end while having a smoking habit, Fun motive will be greatly reduced, and Stressed, FeelingAnxious, Strained, and NeedCigarette buffs are added.

Quitting...
To quit the smoking habit, You must let the SmokedCigarette buff run out. You will then get the NeedCigarette buff, but you can't smoke again. You will have do other things to keep your sims Fun motive up until the quitting process is complete, which takes 15 sim days. After that, you get a QuitColdTurkey buff, and life goes back to normal. Unless...

Relapse...
If you have the QuitColdTurkey buff, and your sim smokes again, you get the SmokingHabit buff again and a FellOffTheWagon buff, and you'll have to start the quitting process all over again.

installing Collection files

To have a collection appearing in your game, just put this package [ SIMc-*setname*-collection]  into your
My documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Collections\User  folder

Collections work as a kind of shortcut, they help you to locate the pieces of a set all together on game catalog but they don't carry the objects itself so, you'll have to download the object pieces AND the collection.
We repeat: this is just a shortcut to find the pieces quickly in the game catalog. The collection file is not the object set itself.

Our collections don't have custom icons, they have EA icons. We use to have custom icons on Sims2 but for Sims3 we decided to keep the collection icons as simple as they are.

Collections will be available by sets.

I've always felt that sims get a bad lot when it comes to seating: there's no room for real luxury. And when it comes to sleeping on seating, they're even more deprived - allowed only to sprawl out across a whole sofa like drunks! Terrible, indeed. Pharmacist Career for Sims 3

For this custom career to show up in game, you'll need Twallan's Careers Mod

Requested by blueshreveport.

You only need to download the MissyHissy_PharmacistCareer file. The Language Strings file is for translators.

Only the Base game is needed for this career to work. This was made with patch 1.33. I don't know if it works with patch levels below 1.33 but I don't see why it shouldn't. It should also work with 1.34.

Breastfeeding Mod v3 (beta) - Updated 21 June

 

21 June - Update to V3. See Changelog for details. Please re-download to fix an issue for single sims (introduced in V2).
If you were using the tuning file, delete it and download the appropriate tuning file below.

This is a pure script mod which adds a breastfeeding interaction to the game. This mod is in beta testing, however, this is only due to a lack of proper animations. The mod itself is fully functional and perfectly stable. It is fit for in-game use. Still, I recommend backing up your save games if you intend to use this mod. If something can go wrong, it certainly will, and it's always safest to keep a back up.

Important Details:
Built with patch 1.34. Should be compatible with all 1.3x patch levels, but this is untested.

Conflicts:
This is a pure scripting mod and the chance of possible conflicts is next to none.
This mod can be used alongside core mods, other scripting mods, and xml tuning mods.

Interactions:
Breastfeed: This interaction will appear on babies and toddlers. This interaction will only appear if the acting sim is a female parent of the baby/toddler target. If you wish to enable male sim breastfeeding, please download the tuning file provided in the Downloads section.

• Uses the Snuggle animation.
• Provides censor blur (mainly due to lack of animations). This is tunable.
• Baby/toddler will have full hunger after the interaction is finished.
• Baby/toddler will receive a custom moodlet that lasts 2 hours: Peaceful Baby. The tuning for this can be found in the buffs_NonaMena_BreastfeedBaby XML in the mod package.
• Baby/toddler will gain +15 LTR with the mother after nursing (tunable)

More Books!

Ever get tired of the same old general books in the book store? Well, I do. I would much rather see popular book titles in the store and have my sims obsess over those. This mod adds 20 popular book titles into the book store for your sims to by and take home with them!

You must have base game version 1.34 in order for this to work!

This is a mod that overrides the Books.xml file; it will conflict with any other mod that overrides the Books.xml (aka. any other book mod).

As of right now, this mod is only in English.

3 small Potted Plants

Well, first of all, I like flowers. And I like the EA's flowers in the game. But they are soo big and can not be placed on tables and shelfs. So I take some and reworked them, scaled, etc and make them more useful. I think. Nothing special but I think it makes the traditional, scandinavian windows more realistic. I do think that most windows have flowers on the windowsill here.

Functional Light Switches

Today I have for you 5 fully functional light switches. They look great in any room and they'll add realism to your game.

You can click on these light switches to turn on/off the lights, change the color, adjust the intensity (make them bright, dim or normal), move them up and down (shiftable), etc.

The only thing that you need to ignore is 'This Light' option since there's no light bulb on these switches to make it works.

Anyway, you can find these in Wall Lamp category for only 5 simoleons each.

These are recolorable 2 channels so you can recolor them with any pattern or any color you like.

I think big patterns make better result for these switches so they'll look like the custom ones.

You can have more than one light switch in one room/house and you can click on any of them to make it works.

Both format (Sims3Pack) and Package are included in download file. Please install only one!

Edible Wedding Cakes + Bonus

 

The cake topper is blurry if you see it close up but there's nothing I could do about it cause it was part of the cake.

The decorative wedding cake 3 is the one without the topper. It's obvious.

Almost forgot, I made 2 size of the edible cakes: Original (Edible Wedding Cake 1) and Small (Edible Wedding Cake 2) sizes.

The original one has the same size with the decorative cakes but the small one is a lot smaller so sims can grab, eat it and it won't look painful for you to watch ;)

(The ones in pictures are the original size)

As usual, you have to put the cakes on the table/counter first before sims can eat otherwise the interactions will be cancelled. And you can find these in Miscellaneous Appliances category.
