Winter Chills Bring Season Thrills

Brrrr! We’re just moving into November, and here at Maxis there’s already a cold chill in the air. What better time to talk about winter in The Sims 3 Seasons and how it’s going to completely transform your game? My name’s Graham Nardone; I’m one of the producers on Seasons, and winter was one of the really big parts of the game that I worked on over the past year. As someone who grew up in Florida for 25 years, I’ve always dreamed of beautiful soft snowflakes and waking up in the morning to see a world blanketed in white. That’s why I absolutely love when winter rolls around in Seasons, and why it’s my favorite time of the year in-game. I guess it also helps that I never had to shovel a driveway! There’s so much more to winter than just snow though. There’s everything from snowboarding to ice skating, snowmen, igloos and lots more!

This expansion pack will enhance your game with all these elements. Of course all seasons are integrated.

The Seasons:

For the first time in the history of The Sims 3, the seasons come to live in different worlds (custom or not) except your game worlds come with The Sims 3 World Adventure, that is to say the China, France and Egypt, he will always be beautiful in the three worlds. Each season brings with it a new feature called festivals Sunset Valley, they will be located on the park in front of City Hall. For other areas it will be easy to identify the place where the festival will be located, simply put you to plan and there you will see an icon that is highlighted. By taking the information given by Graham, here's a quick summary of new places or festivals taking place in the worlds. Lacking the Riverview neighborhood, and Lunar Lakes Barnaclebay installed on my computer I have not been able to capture. Riverview festivals will happen on the ground called "" All the Rave "Warehouse" to Barnacle Bay they place on the community site "Crowe's Nest Campgrounds" and Lunar Lake in Riverview Memorial.

Oh dear, here we are again. And this time it was no one but Origin itself!  We found out that the page for the 9th expansion pack was leaked. And it is The Sims 3 University!
The page was found on Origin Russia and Germany, which leaves very little room for other theories.. but then again, until the official announcement, this must be labeled as a rumor!

Updates to Store Magic items coming with Supernatural (Sims 3 Forums)

I’m here to tell you about how the The Sims 3 Supernatural is going to enhance existing magic items that are available on The Sims 3 Store! These items will not be included in Supernatural, but if you’ve purchased them from the Store, you’ll get the benefits of these special effects:

Brewing potions in Lord Vladimir’s Magic Cauldron will increase your Sim’s Alchemy Skill, and Sims can conjure components in the cauldron that will be needed for crafting within the Alchemy system.

Telling fortunes and peering into The Soothsayer’s Crystal Ball will give a job performance bonus if the Sim is a member of the Fortune Teller career!

Performing the magical interactions on Lady Ravendancer Goth’s Book o’ Spells and the Malleable Mimic Voodoo Doll will increase your Sim’s hidden Spellcasting Skill. You will be able to use the Voodoo Doll to curse other Sims and turn them into a zombie! You will also be able to use the Voodoo Doll to bless zombie Sims and cure them of their affliction.

Lastly, there will be a new interaction on the Voodoo Doll, “Transform!” This is only available when a Voodoo Doll is bound to a Werewolf or a Fairy. You’ll have to wait to play The Sims 3 Supernatural to find out what that does specifically.

The Sims 3 Expansion Pack 7 Icon?

iSims has located a hidden file in the “FeaturedItems” part of The Sims 3 folder called “content_icon_conceptsicon.hide”.
I wonder, if these are true, what the next expansion will be – Seasons or Magic? But, I quite like the middle one..

SimCookie has supposedly found some info on an EA server or maybe a patch about a Seasons EP. Mainly interactions and dialog.

This info is from memories. Their descriptions. Like from the tree house and etc. Oh well…
